The family of the late Rev Fr Francis Hefferan who was Parish Priest of Nambour Catholic Church,
set up a Benevolent Fund in 2000, specifically to encourage young people to achieve their goals
by rewarding outstanding efforts in academia, the arts, or innovative pursuits
The Fund Committee comprises representatives of community, schools and our Parish.
The Fr Hefferan Bursary is open for applications for 2023
It is open to all young people aged between 15 and 25 years
who can display exceptional ability and achievement either
academically, in the arts or in innovative pursuits.
In addition please note there is a new category called "Innovations". See the Information page.

Applicants can be of any race or creed but must have resided in the Nambour district or districts adjoining Nambour district (Sunshine Coast).
