At the heart of St John's College life are the Sisters of the Good Samaritan of the Order of St Benedict. Known affectionately as the Good Samaritans, the organisation’s goal is to bring compassion and justice to an expanding global neighbourhood.
Today, in keeping with our heritage St John’s College connects to our community through service. We are highly regarded for helping those in need. Students are involved in service activities including:
• Daily Bread
• Good Samaritan Youth Conference St Vincent de Paul
• Family Connections
• Nambour Special School
• Visitations to Aged Facilitator
In addition, the College community is active in its support for collections for Caritas, working with Indigenous communities, tutoring migrant children, visiting the elderly, helping the homeless, donating baby bundles for young mothers and so much more.
